Born in Trento, Enrico Miaroma (President of the Jury, ITALY) graduated in piano, choral music and choir direction, music education and composition. He also studied with Franco Donatoni, Salvatore Sciarrino and Ennio Morricone at the Chigiana Academy in Siena, at the Romanini Foundation in Brescia and at the Festival of Nations in Città di Castello, getting scholarships as one of the best student. Active as a pianist and choir director, he has held about 900 concerts throughout Europe, Ukraine and the Republic of Taiwan. Many of his choral compositions have been published by Edizioni Sulasol, Edizioni Carrara, A Coeur Joie, Pro Musica Studium, European Music Editions, Editions of the Trentino Choral Federation, Choraliter, Tourdion, Ut Orpheus, and Bo Ejeby Forlag (Goteborg), and performed by some of the most important choirs in the world. As choir director he has won numerous national competitions (Quartiano, Vittorio Veneto, Arezzo, Trento) and international (Riva del Garda) with mixed choirs, children choirs male voices. He is Artistic Director of the National and International Choral Competition for Children Choirs “Il Garda in Coro” of Malcesine (Verona), of the Cultural Association EdizioniCorali.it, of the National Competition “Luigi Pigarelli” for Male Choirs of Arco (Trento) and of Riva del Garda International Choir Competition and member of the Artistic Committee of the Trentino Choral Federation. He is currently director of the children choir “Garda Trentino”. A former lecturer at the Conservatories of Pescara and Adria, he now teaches Composition at the Conservatory of Trento.
Karolina Silkina (Member of the Jury, BELARUS/POLAND) was born in Grodno, Belarus. There she started her musical education playing the piano, singing in the choir, taking part in numerous concerts and winning competitions (“New Names” piano competition, “Young Pianists” piano competition, the latest – Polish Piano Competition in Cracow (2017) – I prize). Karolina is finishing her studies at Choral and Music Ensembles Conducting at the F. Chopin University of Music under the guidance of prof. Bogdan Gola. She is the founder and conductor of the Journalism Department choir at the University of Warsaw. In addition, Karolina completed her Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations and Media Marketing (Journalism Department) at the University of Warsaw. Currently continues her master’s studies at Alma Mater (University of Warsaw). She is interested in PR, visual marketing, communication and event marketing. Conducting and vocal workshop Karolina develops by participating in different conferences and numerous music projects such as International Conferences for Choral Conductors, which were led by prof. Paul Mealor, Phillip Cooke, Cornelius Trantow, Inessa Bodiako, Anna Moniushko, dr John Frederick Hudson, prof. Kent Hatteberg, dr Hankuy Lim, Colin Touchin, dr Rafal Grozdev. She is a soprano at the F. Chopin Chamber Choir and the choral singer and vocal instructor at University of Warsaw Choir and The Center of Thought of John Paul II Choir. Like a choral singer Karolina also cooperate with the Warsaw Great Theatre – National Opera (opera “E. Onegin”), Warsaw Chamber Opera (opera “Don Giovanni”, “St. Mattew Passion” under the baton of F. Haider), National Philharmonic (“Requiem” Schnittke, “Le Roi David” A. Honegger), University of Katowice Choir (J.S.Bach “Mass h moll”, conducted by Philippe Peatier). As a journalist, Karolina is a member of International Choral Bulletin team.
Snežana Ponoš (Member of the Jury, CROATIA) is a choral director, musicologist and music teacher. She is a researcher in the field of chorusology and an active participant in scientific symposiums on chorusology. She also teaches at the School for choral conductors of the Croatian Choral Directors Association. She took part in many national and international choral competitions with her choirs and has won 20 first prizes and Grand Prix’s and 10 special conductor’s prizes in Croatia, Slovenia, Belgium, Slovakia, Austria, The Czech Republic, Italy and The Republic of Serbia. She is also a prominent adjudicator in national and international choral competitions. She was awarded the title Maestra Mentor of The Croatian Choral Directors Association.
